Stress and Dating?

So apparently when you try to tell someone ahead of time, before its too late, that a relationship is not going to work out, it still feels bad, why?

Isn't it ironic, that I'm doing that person a favor by not lying and telling the truth but in the end you still feel bad.  I don't know but that sounds wrong.

DAMN! I am my own person, and I should be free to do whatever I want. None should be able to make anyone feel horrible for not liking someone.
