My Final Fantasy XIII Review

With all the hype about the game itself, the 13th series of the popular Final Fantasy by Square Enix, is perplexed with positive and negative reviews.

I recently got a hold of this game, and I must say the graphics are awesome. The game always gets me excited, when the CG cinematics play. It is so amazing how it's detailed down to the very last hair strand.

Gameplay otherwise failed to impress me, due to the battle system and the confusing combat and power grids. (Yes I can be slow at times lol) Learning to use these complex systems is the key to completing the game with ease. I didn't know how to use the "Paradigm" thingie at first, but when I found out that it can be switched simultaneously and grant me different combat options, it then made the whole thing understandable.

I suppose the story is great, however, the part where I have to play different characters all the time is a little bit irritating. I am a person that only focuses on one character. Even when I play MMO's I rarely make alts and just play one toon. Although I understand that it makes the story have more depth when the player can get to know the main characters of the story.

In addition, what the hell is with the annoying repetitions of l'Cie, Pulse l'Cie, Fal'Cie....  I can only take so much of those words. Why can't they just make a normal sounding words?

However, even for the old and the new Final Fantasy fans, I do recommend to try and purchase Final Fantasy XIII, just for the experience and fun of it. Check it out on the side panel if you wish to purchase it through Amazon.com.

How To Become A Social Buttefly! Part 2

A couple of months ago, I wrote Part 1 of the "How To Become A Social Butterfly" series. It was about the appearance, where it is a number one factor in the journey to be on the top of the social chain. I have been procrastinating and now I finally did some progress!

This time I will be discussing, the word that some people have too much or too less. Confidence - it is one of the most important virtue someone should have. It is the drive that can land a person the dream job or meet the one they are going to spend the rest their life.

A friend told me once, I guess back when I was having self esteem issues, that we can't expect people to like us. We can only be ourselves, and we are like music. We all sound good but each kind of music cannot blend well with the other. For example, R&B cannot mix with metal, each of us is a certain tune and melody. I like to make an example that I am R&B and in a big room, I can only talk and relate to Pop, and maybe Hip Hop.

It's impossible to change overnight, but have a little confidence each and everyday. You'll be on your way to becoming a social butterfly!

New Betty.. Not Ugly..

So I just finished watching the latest episode of Ugly Betty, and I just had to like write about it. That show for me, means so much, just because I learn many things from it. It makes me happy they have shows that have meaning and substance, not just a tasteless comedy show.

This was Betty before everything..

Notice the glasses? the eyebrows? She was all that but after a couple of seasons, Betty Suarez (played by America Ferrera) has undergone a make over.. little by little.. and we all know she becomes prettier too, just based on the telenovela..
