Birthday!

As some people know I am turning another year older on the 24th. I'd like to think that it is a good thing, although many times I get depressed that fact that in 6 years I'll be thirty, or think I'm too old to be even going out for drinks. It's such a pain to have birthdays after 21. However, perks like it'll only take me only one more year then I can rent a car without having to be charged for an underage fee.

Why is it so depressing? Even my friends get icky when I remind them that their birthday is coming up soon. Is there a reason why we should feel good or bad for birthdays?

I personally think that the fact some people get successful at a young age, like around the age of 21 and already have a yacht, gets me all depressed. I'm turning 24 and haven't even made my first million, and yet some 19 year old guy is on his way to make his 2nd million.

I really should be just thankful to God, I'm still alive and kicking and there's probably thousands of reasons I should be happy on my birthday.

The Show Called "The Big Bang Theory"

I cannot add more exclamation marks to all the hype this Emmy nominated show has brought us. I personally think it's luck that my brother got a hold of the episodes and played it on the big TV one day, and caught my attention.

The Big Bang Theory is one of those where if someone hasn't seen any episode of it or at least understand each of the character's traits, they will not get the point, and will get lost. Just like that parody they did on Family Guy.

Anyways, the show is about a bunch of nerds/geeks and their lifestyles. Basically the roommates Sheldon and Leonard meets their neighbor Penny played by Kaley Cuoco from the old Charmed series. All the nerdy-ness rubs off her and stuff, basically, it's a funny show.

Moreover, the actors and the actress bring a fresh concept to comedy. It is not a typical FRIENDS that hang out in a coffee shop, but it brings more depth to people who aren't as good looking or as popular. I do feel the relativeness of myself in these nerds. There was an episode of the group getting hooked on an MMORPG, which I am guilty also of. Many instances of Obsessive Compulsive Disorders (OCD) can be observed also. Sheldon is becoming one of my favorite TV character, cause he's just very eccentric and asexual. LOL.

Finally, the show airs in CBS around Mondays at 9:30 PM. I really insist watching the beginning episodes first, then catch up. It's very addicting, kind of like "How I Met Your Mother".

Dragon Age: Origins .... Hot!!!

I've probably done this before, played a game, and finished it in 2 days. I bought the game, earlier this month and got hooked on it.

The story was very fresh, due to the many character origins someone can start out as. Either a noble, a commoner, a mage in school, there are a branch of different outcomes as to what decisions made in the game. Another favorite of mine are the romance options. If the character is female then the male companions can be a potential love interest and vice versa.

The designs of the NPC's and the interface of the character generator is also an amazing experience, everything can be customized. I made my character a girl and made her look like a blonde bitch. She was hot.

Otherwise, the game is purely addictive. Spells and combat is great, which the game can be paused, then set the command for each party's actions, then unpause it and watch the chaos.

Moreover, the story is the main beauty of this game. The fact that the story unveils itself, and many random occurences can also happen, it is part of its great advantage. There are many side quests where someone can get lost in hours of gameplay.

In conclusion, there is no reason why Dragon Age: Origins shouldn't be the Game of the Year. No doubt about it. I highly recommend buying and playing this game. It will be worth every penny!
